Chris Costello, a graphic artist, created this gorgeous typeface called Papyrus Font in 1982. The design was inspired by the appearance of ancient papyrus manuscripts, which were created in Egypt thousands of years ago on the pith of the papyrus plant.

About Designer 

Chris Costello is a graphic designer and typographer who is best known for creating the Papyrus typeface. He created Papyrus while still a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in California, where he was studying graphic design. 

He finished the design in 1982 and later registered the trademark for the Papyrus font. The designer is working and running his own design studio since then, His design studio specializes in branding, packaging, and advertising design. Chris Costello is also active in the design community and has been recognized with numerous awards and honors throughout his career.
